Flexible Aluminum Heat and Cool bands are offered in three brands including Tempco “Maxi-Bands,” Marathon “Star-Flex” and Chromalox” Aluma-Flex.” The flexible aluminum design offers easy installation with a durable contamination proof construction. Bands consist of an extruded aluminum channel segment having grooves fitted with tubular heater elements with sheath temperatures attainable to 650°F and or stainless-steel cooling tubes pressed into the grooved aluminum segments. A thermal expansion clamp holds the assembly in place. Options include heat and cool, heat only and cool only options. Bands are designed for use in external outer diameter and internal inner diameter heating and cooling applications.

The combination of heat elements and cooling tubes in intimate contact with the aluminum segments offers a heating and cooling device with excellent specific heat characteristics which delivers highly efficient and uniform thermal conductivity to the work piece whether it is a blown film die, injection molding process cylinder, extruder barrel or other machinery.
